Hello there

Here is that Theodosius coin again:

Cleaned it some more, and this one turned out to be a beaut! Used the dremel tool on low with a silver brush attachment. This picture is also better than the last, more contrast.

Hm

I thought this one was interesting looking:

The obverse is helmeted, which I think I remember seeing before. But it really has some nasty crud on it. I wonder if I should maybe try zapping it?

Cleaned w/o ultrasound

Just used the dremel on low:

Only the top one semi-interesting, the bottom two not so much. Attributed that top one, and these make good gifts to the uninitiated; some can’t believe you’re actually giving it to them, or that it’s that old (even if it’s an LRBC). These are random picks from the 1000, which I don’t think I’ll get done before I die.

Ultrasonic!

Here are two coins cleaned using the ultrasonic device:

The one on the left looks better in person and is pretty common, but the one on the right (which I admit I left in for too many cycles, and stripped) I have no idea what this is. Don’t know if it’s Greek or some other region. Anyway, my little machine seems to work like a charm.

My new toy

I haven’t even pulled it out of the box yet:

Will post when I have some time to try it out. Peace.

Olive oil

These are the few I have soaking in olive oil:

They’ve been there for about 7 months, now, and I don’t even know if it’s worth it to even check what they are. They were among the first I ever soaked at all. Perhaps I’ll let them just stay for a year or so and have at them when (if) I ever have any free time.

The other

Here’s the one that was soaking:

It’s a common Constantius II/Fel Temp Reparatio, but at least I leveled up my zap-fu.
